Performance with The Red Skies Music Ensemble as Emily Dickinson

On November 4th I had the opportunity to once again perform with the Red Skies Music Ensemble in the lead role as Emily Dickinson. It was an honor to portray her and read her poetry, letters, and sing the songs she would have sung at her own parlor piano. You can read more about the event that took place in her hometown of Amherst, Massachusetts here.

A leading role in a new short film The Score

My costume for the shoot.

My costume for the shoot.

I recently shot a leading role in a hilarious and moving short film called, The Score by writer/director Flora Birnbaum. Flora Birnbaum is currently a Sundance New Voices filmmaking fellow and her digital series Cleansed (Executive Produced by Leslye Headland) premiered at SXSW this past spring. Most recently, Flora served as a Staff Writer on the first season of the new Netflix series Russian Doll (EP'd by Amy Poehler, Leslye Headland, and Natasha Lyonne). It was a great shoot and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes together. It was a joy to be a part of it and here’s a picture of me on set in New York City.

Coming up on October 30th I'll be performing in the industry concert reading of the new rock/punk musical VIVA LOS BASTARDITOS! The story follows the screwball adventures of Western Massachusetts' most famous rock trio, The Pickles—and their grass-roots movement of artists, misfits and patriots—as they struggle to get past their own differences and take back their beloved homeland from dastardly con man, Dancin' Eddie Danson. I'll be playing the role of The Old Lady, and yes, it's just as funny as it sounds.

To RSVP email vivalosbastarditos@gmail.com and check out our press release here.

Singing with A Band Called Honalee

On Thursday, September 7th I'll be singing with my folk group, A Band Called Honalee in Richmond, VA. It's always a pleasure to sing the folk/rock songs of the 1960's. Getting the opportunity to share the principle messages of peace, love and inclusiveness with our audiences brings me so much joy! You can check out our website for more info and listen to some of our songs here

Season One of Joined at the Nip is Now Live!

All 8 episodes of the web series I co-created and star in are now online! You can go to our YouTube Channel to check them all out! Comedy Cake said our series, "consistently delivers belly tickling laughs." Read the full article here!

Joined at the Nip is about two women, a cockeyed optimist and an excitable agoraphobe who are head over heels in platonic love, and the absurd comedy and joy that bloom from the everyday banalities of building a home and sharing a life with someone—in this case, that someone being “just” a friend. The series examines intimacy at one of its lesser-observed heights: within female friendship. It dissembles the patriarchal stereotype that women are designed to hate on other women, proving female friendship is a force to be reckoned with.
